Our Mission
Our mission is to democratize access to world class AI-based learning. For all students and educators.
For Learners, Thea is your personalized AI-guided experience, to prepare you dynamically and adaptively across all subjects to achieve success.
For Educators, tutors, teachers, parents, and coaches, Thea seamlessly allows you to place automated, personalized learning in the hands of your students that adapts to meet them where they are and provides valuable feedback when you are not there.
Our Founding Story

The idea behind Thea came from our founder, Baker, a rising senior in high school. Baker saw a market gap … he believed that there were “no good study applications”. Enthusiastic about all things technical, he started programming his own.
When ChatGPT emerged, he signed up the first day and integrated AI into his developing program. He envisioned and prototyped a platform that could do all the busywork needed to start studying (flashcards, summaries) and dynamically tutor high schoolers and even PhD candidates! Baker designed Thea to serve learners with questions and explanations of increasing complexity to prioritize understanding rather than memorization.
In what Baker (jokingly) refers to as a hostile takeover, Baker agreed to let his father, Anthony, join him. Anthony would be the first of a team of experienced technologists and educators drawn to Baker’s vision. Baker currently works full-time as a Software Engineer at Thea but plans to return to finish high school at Saint Albans School in the fall and to pursue his passion for robotics – Go Robodogs and 343X!
